1.  1599 The Globe Theater built on Bankside from the timbers of The Theatre.   Shakespeare is a shareholder and receives about 10% of the profits 

2: 1599: Dec 25th - The city of Natal, Brazil is founded.

     1599: Mar 27th - Robert Devereux becomes lt-general of Ireland


3: 1600 The Fortune Theater opens  Japan made two invasions of Korea, in Japan's first invasion 1592 and 1596, creating war along the length of the peninsula until, with a truce period, 1598. Those Imjin Wars involved China and resulted in further conflicts on the Korean Peninsula.   “The Merchant of Venice”

4: 1600  Giordano Bruno burned as a heretic. English East India Company established  “ As you like it“

5: 1601 Shakespeare's father dies.  Oliver Cromwell was born into a family of minor Huntingdon gentry on 25 April 1599 and baptised at St John's Church in Huntingdon four days later. He attended the free school attached to the hospital of St John in Huntingdon. was an English military and political leader best known in England for his overthrow of the monarchy and temporarily turning England into a republican Commonwealth and for his rule as Lord Protector of England, Scotland and Ireland.Cromwell was one of the commanders of the New Model Army .   “Julius Caesar”

6: 1601. Galileo galilei in 1601 provide the dowry of his sister Livia without the help of his brother Michelangelo, who had gone to Poland with money that Galileo had lent and never returned.   “Hamlet”


7:  1601 September 8, Burial of John Shakespeare (William Shakespeare's father,  nearly seventy years old
